Chris Snow - Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
Chris Snow BSc MSc BVetMed MRCVS Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon

Chris qualified from the Royal Veterinary college in 2013 and joined the Chestnut team, having spent time at the practice previously as a student. He worked at Chestnuts until December 2017 when he relocated with his family. He then spent the next four years working at a small animal practice that saw many exotic pets and allowed him to develop his keen interest in exotic veterinary medicine. However, nothing compared to working at Chestnuts and he re-joined the practice in February 2022 to work alongside Michelle as clinical director.

Chris has a general interest in all areas of veterinary medicine including seeing feathered and scaly patients. Chris is responsible for the organisation and running of the practice alongside Michelle. Chris is involved in the graduate development programme which ensures that new graduates have a smooth transition from graduation to working in the clinic. This is an area he is passionate about and enjoys mentoring graduates as they make that transition.

Outside of work Chris is kept busy by his two children and his black Labrador Colin. Chris enjoys cycling, although since starting a family he does not have as much time for road cycling but has replaced that with a mountain bike with a child seat! Chris still enjoys playing football when he can and if you spot him operating you might see by his surgeon hat that he is a keen Manchester United fan! Chris also has two cats at home, Betty and Elmo.
