Katy graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and has stayed in the Hertfordshire/Essex region ever since, gaining a wealth of experience working in busy first opinion small animal hospitals.
She joined Chestnuts in 2021 on a part time basis following the birth of her son.
Katy has obtained the RCVS accredited certificate in Advanced Veterinary practice (CertAVP) in small animal medicine, through Liverpool University, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Professional Studies (PgCert VPS).
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine; working up complex medical cases and emergency and soft tissue surgery - a true general practioner!
Out of work, Katy lives locally, but enjoys regular weekends hiking in the Peak District (her second home!), food, rugby and cricket. She has also travelled extensively, and hopes to continue to do so with her young family.
